Where history meets mystery! Learn the hidden secrets of Fort Monroe's rich 400-year history during our guided ghost walks. The tours will run rain or shine, every 20 minutes from 6pm-10pm, on October 24 & 25. Haunted Hampton Tours (October 27-31)
These 60 minute tours include eerie tales of Old Hampton and the Tidewater area. Guided by Historian and Hampton History Museum curator, Michael Cobb, the tour will encounter actors portraying the first witch recorded in America, ghosts of Civil War soldiers, pirates from Blackbeard's Crew, a speakeasy proprietor, escaped prisoners, yellow fever victims, and more characters from the city's tales of mystery and the macabre. Each tour will include the grisly side of Hampton history; special surprises and a spooky lantern tour of the St. John's Church graveyard, and other points of fright along Queen Street and around downtown Hampton. Ghoulish refreshments will be available to all guests. October 29, 30, 31. Tours starting at 6:15pm & 7:15pm
